Overview
Key Responsibilities:
Create sand molds around patterns to form cavities for metal castings
Carefully remove patterns without damaging mold cavities
Inspect molds for cracks, defects, and dimensional issues before pouring
Mix and prepare molding sand with the appropriate binder system
Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, conveyors, dollies, and furnaces
Clean and maintain molding tools, machinery, and work areas
Follow strict safety procedures when working around heavy equipment, chemicals, hot metal, dust, and moving machinery
Qualifications:
Foundry experience preferred
Steel industry and pattern-making experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Reliable, punctual, friendly, and hardworking
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
