The position for Materials Handler requires a valid driver’s license, good communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Receive material inventory in various yards, organize and maintain quantity status
• Maintain yard with a focus on good house keeping, organization and cleanliness
• Maintain material inventory levels on a daily basis
• Shuttle materials between yards within the state and projects as required
• Maintain and reorder inventory, including not only materials but also tools, consumables, and safety supplies
• Pick up parts and materials from vendors
• Deliver parts, materials, and miscellaneous items to crews at job sites
• Operate forklift
• Operate power tools
• Plan, organize and order/locate tools for upcoming jobs
• Maintain, repair, test, and clean tools and equipment
• Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner
• Load trucks with equipment and tools to be transported to job sites

Work Experience:
• Class A CDL preferred
• Forklift Operation experience
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to move/lift at least 50-70 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Frequently required to kneel, climb, walk, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to travel within the State of Michigan
• Experience managing and controlling inventory

Skills:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Function effectively as an integral part of a team, high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Work safely in all conditions
• Possess knowledge of industry standard safe working practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good computer and math skills

Compensation/Benefits
• Starting Wage between $17.00 – $20.00 per hour commensurate with experience
