Job Description:

Position is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment throughout the production facility.


Essential Duties:

·         Performs routine maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation

·         Performs routine maintenance and calibration of process valves and positioners

·         Troubleshoots instrumentation, electrical and valve problems

·         Repairs instrumentation and valves

·         Understands Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) programing

·         Generally works with 480 volts and below

·         Communicates results verbally and in writing

·         Maintains accurate calibration records, including paper forms and files, and electronic forms and databases

·         Interpret Instrumentation and Electrical prints

·         Follows SOP’s and established safety guidelines

·         Follows personal protective equipment requirements, which includes wearing of flame retardant clothing

·         Maintains work area in a clean, safe and appropriate condition

·         Works outside in all weather conditions

·         Must be able to work at heights

·         Effective oral and written communication including comprehension of oral and written instructions

·         Strong documentation skills, with an eye for detail and organization

·         Knowledge of computers and proficient at Excel and Word

·         Must be able to reach, push, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.


Credentials and Work Experience:

Bachelor of Science or Technical Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Military Electronics training or prior experience as an Instrumentation Technician / Journeyman Electrician is highly desired for the position.


Hours of Operation:

Position is located in Marysville, Michigan.  Position is full time (40 hrs/week).  Typical hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Must be willing to work overtime and off shift hours, including weekends and holidays.


Additional Information:

Wage $25 to $40 Hourly (wage will be commensurate with experience)
