Overview

Monitor and Maintain inventory system.  Oversee receipt and dispatching of material in warehouse.  Perform cycle counts and adjustments as required.  Work with Plant Supervision to ensure material is on hand and inventory levels accurate.  Follow up on work in process to ensure conformation of materials procedures.  Assists with shipment of orders as required. Backup for Merchandise Shipping as required.  Work with and direct Receiving efforts to ensure accurate inventory.  Knowledge of SAP preferred but will train.

The company is currently seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process material demands made by Engineering and Sales, manufacturing and Project Management
Create work orders from demands.
Apply changes to production bill of materials (work orders)
Verify information on the written demands
Determine warehouse in which to assign order
Apply routers when necessary
Work with Engineering, manufacturing on correcting errors found
Write work orders on drawing copies and distribute
Process request for new part number or changes to part descriptions
Process shortage list by verifying shortages, creating work orders
Run SAP reports to support creating/distribution or work orders
Support manufacturing process with valid dates, work orders, sales orders information
Verify SAP part number entries for accuracy in description.
Process demands of “Parts Blow Minimum Report” through purchase requisitions or work orders
Make adjustments to inventory levels through Demands of Stores or Return to Stores
Make inventory determinations by investigating past/future usage
Assist in determining the need for inventory adjustments through tracking part activity
Disseminate project materials information to department
Investigate, summarize material deliveries on projects
React to assigned action items from team meetings
Attend Project Team meetings
Support business initiatives by participating in work group
Review vendor replies to CAR’s, validate responses
Correspond to project leaders, coworkers, through e-mail, word documents, or Excel spreadsheets
Retrieve drawings and run copies
Support and participate in the company quality process
Perform other work related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or 2 – 5 years experience in a design to order manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft office products
Experience with SAP software a plus

Stationary for 50% of the time
