Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator administers and provides oversight of the talent acquisition processes, benefits administration, training and development program, and provides support and expertise within the organization in all other core functions within the Human Resources Division. The Human Resources Coordinator is an effective professional who applies accurate and strategic support to various City personnel while understanding the needs of the organization and its departments. This position assists in the continuous improvement of the talent acquisition program, including onboarding and employee experience, and the organization’s training and development program(s). The Human Resources Coordinator supports and champions all initiatives and programs spearheaded by the Human Resources Division, including, but not limited to, the City’s onsite Health & Wellness Center, Sterling VARcity Training Program, Recruitment Programs, and HRIS Functionality. The Human Resources Division prides itself on providing expertise, support, and accurate information, so the Human Resources Coordinator must apply strategic human resource expertise while demonstrating integrity.
The City’s current vacancy will primarily be responsible for overseeing the City’s training & development program, enhancing employee engagement activities, and supporting the overall employee experience relating to retention, communication, and professional development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or directly related major.
- Professional HR Designation is highly preferred.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years job experience within a human resources department.
- Must have experience working within HRIS systems; UKG (Kronos) is highly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
