Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will work with various types of heavy equipment and industrial machinery, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties will be to perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques. Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Operate heavy equipment as needed for repairs or testing purposes. Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs, including soldering components when required. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Assist in heavy lifting and digging tasks as required during maintenance operations. And operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements are to provide experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in vehicle maintenance. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely. Proficiency in fabricating parts and soldering components is preferred. Familiarity with customer service principles in a repair environment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. And strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
