Overview

The AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Authority has an opening for a Recipient Rights Officer. This candidate is responsible for ensuring that each client of the agency has his/her rights fully respected during the time when he/she is in contact with the agency.  The Officer will make recommendations to the Director, provide in-service to the staff, and review the recipient’s complaints, conduct investigations to ensure, to as large a degree as possible the protection of such rights. This candidate will be familiar with the Mental Health Code, especially Chapter 7; with Part 7 of the Administrative Rules; and with the AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Recipient Rights Manual, and AVCMH personnel manual. Persons with Lived Experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance abuse disorders are encouraged to apply.
