About Lakeside Camp Association

Lakeside Camp Association (LCA) is a 150-year-old association of seasonal and year-round
residential homes and recreational facilities on 100 acres of managed forest and lakefront
property. (The word “Camp” in our name is left over from the last 1800s when member
families would camp here, prior to construction of permanent buildings. )

We have nearly no concrete, choosing instead to keep the quiet and wooded connection to
the forest around us. But we do have a community that feels like extended family, and
recreational facilities that include a baseball field, tennis courts, pickleball, basketball,
volleyball, and horseshoes.

The Caretaker lives on-site year-round in a 3BR single-family home, and provides security,
maintenance, safety, and day-to-day facility operations for our private Association. The
Caretaker is a part of our community, and past Caretakers have raised their families at
Lakeside, often occupying the role for 10 years (and sometimes many more).
