Semi Truck Driver (Interstate)
Position Title: Truck Driver – Semi
Location: Based out of Charlevoix (preferably) or Coldwater, MI, with routes from Charlevoix, MI and Coldwater, MI plants
Employment Type: Full Time
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Semi Truck Driver to transport finished window products between company manufacturing facilities and customer or distribution locations across the contiguous 48 United States. This position requires adherence to all DOT regulations, and safe handling of time sensitive, high value products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Safely operate a Class A semi truck in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
• Transport multi-stop loads of window products from Charlevoix, MI and Coldwater, MI facilities to designated delivery locations throughout the U.S.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit
• Pick up back-hauls
• Complete pre trip, en-route, and post trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation
• Coordinate with plant shipping teams for efficient delivery scheduling
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
• Verifiable Class A driving experience (interstate preferred)
• Proven experience with long haul operations strongly preferred
• Clean driving record with no disqualifying violations
• Ability to lift, inspect, and secure cargo as needed
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to travel overnight and for multiple days as required
Required Licenses, Certifications & Documents
United States (Interstate – All 48 Contiguous States)
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Interstate eligibility (minimum age 21)
• Current DOT Medical Card
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Long haul driving with extended periods of sitting
• Exposure to varying weather and road conditions
• Ability to climb into trailers and perform inspections
• Occasional manual handling for inspection and load securement
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary $60,000/yr + $10/stop
• One week off per month
